Winters in the Himalayas are harsh, making access to the higher reaches difficult during the peak winter months of November-December to the end of March. During this time, the Himalayas receive a lot of snowfall, making many treks inaccessible. It is for this reason that the Brahmatal Trek is so special, as it is one of the few treks in the Garhwal Himalayas during which trekkers can walk through snow and have a magical experience.
